Product Development

As the major reason for its inception in the 1960s; MECHEM has always seen R&D or product development as a crucial part of its capabilities. The focus now is based on finding innovative ways of supporting our teams on location, which carry out the demining operations. Apart from being innovative MECHEM also strives to manage the cost of these solutions to provide a turnkey solution that is also cost effective. MECHEM uses what is calls a Toolbox approach to demining that employs a diverse range of applications taking into account varying climates and terrain. To this end Product Development plays a pivotal role in stocking the toolbox as it may. Our product development team is able to deliver a similar service to prospective customers, faced with R&D challenges.
