MECHEM DEMINING CONTRACT - MOZAMBIQUE

 
         
MECHEM was sub-contracted by an American company to undertake demining services in Mozambique. MECHEM has been sub-contracted to support the American company's manual demining capacity by doing mechanical area reduction in areas along the Senna Railway Line north-west of Beira and in areas just north of Maputo.

MECHEM has a CASSPIR with accessories including steel wheels and roller set, a coordinator and driver deployed to support the American company. The concept of operations is for the CASSPIR to confirm the absence of mines over large areas by physically driving over these areas in a fixed pattern and thus reducing the area that has to be manually demined by the manual demining teams.
