|
| The Maleoskop South African Police Service Training Area near Groblersdal was one of numerous pieces of land identified for land restitution by the government of South Africa. As a result of this designation the SAPS vacated the facilities during February 2003. As the area was heavily contaminated with spent cartridges, blinds and misfires, the SAPS issued a tender to have the 5 500 ha range cleared before returning the land to the original owners. In March 2003 MECHEM was awarded this contract. |
